# Notenik 14.8.3 Available for Beta Testing on July 6th, 2024

This beta adds the ability to temporarily switch out of a custom display template, without having to actually remove or rename the display template file. A new display mode of `Custom` has been added to the Display Mode options. This will be set by default when a custom display template file is found for a Collection, but it can then be set to another value (such as `Normal`) in order to temporarily override the use of the template file. This change has been made in response to a [feature request](https://discourse.notenik.app/t/optional-display-switch/410) for an optional display switch.
