# Notenik 17.1.0 Released on June 18th, 2025

The latest release of Notenik has just been approved for distribution through the Mac App Store.
This version contains the following new features:
- Added new collection type for General Notes;
- Added new collection type for Daily Notes;
- Added a new author-work slug for internal links to author pages.

The daily notes collections don’t seem to work as described in the Knowledge Base for me. I can’t find a File \> Make this the Daily Notes Collection menu option, while I can find the File\>Make Collection General. I was able to click on the Collection Settings checkbox to make a collection a daily notes collection.

Good catch! Sorry about the misdirection! I actually had started out with that functionality, then realized a second easily accessible collection should be a general notes collection, and not necessarily (although possibly) a daily notes collection. I will fix the documentation in the next release! Thanks for the feedback!
