I’m experimenting with an ability to clone an existing Collection.
See the Notenik 16.4.1 beta if you’d like to test this out.
There are two pieces to this:
-
Select File > Clone… and then select the input folder, and specify the output folder. Note that this function does not assume any currently open Collection as its starting point, and note that you should be able to perform this operation with either a single Collection, or a project containing one or more Collections (plus other files, potentially).
-
Select File > New Collection… to create a new Collection and then, instead of selecting one of the existing Notenik starter packs, click the new Init from Clone button, and select the clone you’ve just created. Then proceed as normal.
After performing these two steps, you should have a new Collection that mirrors the structure of your old one, but without carrying over any of the data from your existing Collection.
You can of course use this to clone one of your own Notenik projects, but I’m thinking it might also be useful as a means of sharing Notenik projects with others.
Looking forward to hearing any feedback you might have on this.
Thanks in advance!
