Beginner Question - Knowledge Base Collection settings

Hey Herb, sorry for the beginner question here, but if I wanted to create an outline that mirrored the functionality of the knowledge base, which collection setting should I choose? I’m struggling to replicate it.

The use case is I have a new laptop that I’m trying to organize before I start working from it, and want to write out various sections - and it would behave like your Knowledge Base Document, which is read only. Otherwise I would just save a copy of the KB and work from that structure. Sorry again for the newbie question!

Sorry, but I can’t tell from your question what it is you are missing. You probably want to start with a Web Book. Then you should be able to add your content. To get a read-only copy, you can export as a web book (which would give a bunch of HTML pages, which would be read-only to a web browser), or you could create a starter pack from it.

Let me know if any of this is helping and, if not, what’s missing.

Thanks for asking! We’re all newbies with Notenik when we’re trying something new (or something we haven’t done in a while).

(BTW, the primary purpose for the Knowledge Base is to help remind me of everything that’s in there and how it works!)
