This new version makes some changes to the ways that Link field values are read and written from disk. When reading from disk into memory, surrounding angle brackets (i.e., less than / greater than signs) will now be discarded, when found to be present. When writing to disk, Link field values will be enclosed in angle brackets when such values might otherwise not be recognized as links by other text / Markdown editors. “Normal” links (starting with http://
or https://
) and normal email addresses are usually recognized without problems, and so these will not be enclosed in angle brackets. But other values that include ://
(such as mail links starting with message://
) will be enclosed in angle brackets, in order to improve interoperability with other apps.
This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.
