This latest beta attempts to address a couple of additional issues that were still present in 12.9.6, including the problem associated with a horizontal rule in the middle of an unordered list. .

This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.
I can confirm that the horizontal rule draws in the correct position with this update.
This functionality doesn’t seem to work in my tests. I have 12.9.7 and the Knowledge Base task list page works as described but in my own collection the interactive checkboxes are not rendered.
Is there a collection setting / requirement needed for this to function?
No special setting is required, but it will only work in the actual body of the Note, and not in other fields.
Could this be your issue in this case?
What version of macOS are you running?
I can’t duplicate the problem you’re experiencing.
I think there must be something corrupt in the collection that i was using to test. Just noticed that it also wasn’t picking up some custom css that i had added to the Display settings.
Added the checkbox markdown to a different collection and all was as it should be.
