This new version adds an option beneath the Collection menu to rename, add or remove a field. The rename option is especially useful, since otherwise renaming a field in the template file, via direct text editing, will leave existing values in the Notes unchanged.

This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.

It’s a bit flaky at the moment.

Rename Title field

  1. Change “Title” to “Issue”
  2. Wizard works as expected
  3. Dialog said that 92 notes were modified.
  4. Edit screen displays the new field label for the Title
  5. The Display screen displays the old field label
  6. The note still contains the old label
  7. All of the notes that I inspected had the old label.

Rename Link field: attempt 1

  1. Change field name from “Link” to “Launcher”
  2. Wizard works as expected
  3. No dialog displayed
  4. No apparent change to notes

Rename Link field: attempt 2

  1. Wizard works but neither Link nor Launcher is in the menu
    • A field “Label” of type link is present
  2. Select “Label” and rename to “Launcher”
  3. No dialog displayed
  4. No apparent change to notes
