The bulk-edit option allows one to easily add a tag to a set of notes at once. It would be convenient for certain workflows to also be able to delete a common tag for a set of selected notes. For instance, if one chooses to associate a tag, say “today” to mark a set of task notes, it would be convenient to be able to remove the tag when it is no longer relevant.
Look at the Collections menu : Collections > Tags Mass Change…
You can easily use this to delete tags by searching for “today” and leaving the second field empty.
Thanks, Malcom, but that would delete the tag completely. Perhaps, I should have said “bulk-remove” rather than “bulk delete”. I would like to be able to delete the tag from a subset of the notes that have the tag. I guess I could do it in two steps, delete the tag and add it back to the notes I would like to keep the tag with. For cases where there are a small number of such notes, that might work well, but I can imagine cases where there are a lot of existing notes with the tag and you only want to remove the tag from a small set of them, where this would be nowhere as convenient as being able to bulk-remove the tag from a subset of the notes.
I get it. Should be doable. Probably a good idea.
@Malcolm Yes, that was my first thought as well.
See the latest beta and let me know how this works for you.
It works very well. Thank you!
