Notenik 15.0.4 Available for Beta Testing on August 14th, 2024

This latest beta adds a few more features to the new Outline tab.

Let me know if issues or additional requests associated with this new feature.

Thanks!

This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.

According to my tests, the outline is not displaying the notes where they belong if the notes with the same parent sequence are in different folders

Knowledge Base is squawking about duplicates in the collection.

@Malcolm: Thanks for pointing this out. This will be fixed in the next beta.

@zgr: Thanks for reporting this issue, but I’m unable to replicate with some limited testing. Can you provide any more details? Thanks!

Probably I found the issue:

  • Note A - level 1, without seq
  • Note B - level 1, with seq
    • Note B.1 - level 2, with seq
    • Note B.2 - level 2, with seq
    • Note B.3 - level 2, with seq
    • Note b.4 - level 2, with seq …

Notes A and B are on the same level, but one is lacking seq. In this scenario Outline is corrupted; some of sub-B notes are under Note B, some are under Note A.

Two possible solutions:

  1. remove the note without seq - I chose this
  2. similar to the knowledge-base’s structure, change all notes to be under the note without seq - by changing the level number by 1 increment
