Notenik 15.0.7 Available for Beta Testing on August 17th, 2024

I believe this version should fix the problems reported with 15.0.6.

This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.

I tested the issue with the “Mod Seq” command moving from the outline tab to another tab. That issue is resolved, Notenik remains on the outline tab.

To test I changed notes with Seq 2.10.2 and 2.10.3 to 2.10.1. Then I selected all three notes at that level and ran the Mod Seq command. I ended up with 2.10.1, 2.10.1, 2.10.2 .

Selecting the first two notes and running Mod Seq, I end up with 2.10.1, 2.10.1.

A curiosity. I changed the note I wanted to be first in order to I ended up with 2.10.0. This throws the note out of the 2.10 group. It sits between 2.9 and 2.10 in the list and outline. Why so?

Zeros and blanks are treated as functionally equivalent. So the two seq values are viewed as equal, so it is probably the title fields determining the overall sequence.

I was going to request that the level (in case it is absent or left blank) be inferred from the number of dots or dashes, but I see that this is already the case. Is that how Notenik is figuring out the level of the hierarchy for displaying in the outline tab?

Notenik will use the Level field if it is available; if not, it will infer it from the number of seq segments.
