Notenik 18.5.2 Available for Beta Testing on March 2nd, 2026

This beta refines the menu bar extra (added in 18.5.1) in a couple of ways.

  1. It should actually bring Notenik to the front when another app is currently frontmost;
  2. The most recent script executed (if any) is also now available from the menu.

This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.

Loving the development of Notenik @hbowie.

I’m still running Sequoia. When I went to settings to turn on the menu bar extra I saw that the labels of some fields in the dialog box are clipped.

I happen to have an old MacBook Pro sitting around that is still running Sequoia, and I’ve been mucking about for a couple of hours now trying to fix this issue but, no matter what I seem to do, those fields seem to remain clipped upon initial display, when running on Sequoia.

I have discovered that, if you grab the bottom of the window and pull down, there is not much “give”, but there is enough to make both fields fully visible.

Sorry to say that I don’t have a better solution at this point.
