Reading Outlines in Streamline display mode

Streamline display mode has power features.

  1. Streamline reduces the amount of data displayed.
  2. It does not display the metadata, which reduces cognitive load and is generally more pleasant to look at.
  3. It also adds powerful navigation tools in the header and footer.
  4. It generates a table of contents for any upper level note that has two or more sub-notes.

Much of the work that I do in Notenik benefits from being structured. Outlines provide a simple way to provide structure, and the automatic generation of navigation tools makes it so easy to move throughout a collection. It really feels like a coherent document and not just a bunch of notes.

I’m so glad to get this feedback! When you say “It really feels like a coherent document and not just a bunch of notes,” you are precisely describing my intention! Glad you are enjoying it!

That’s why we use Notenik, don’t we? With Notenik, I rarely rely on Wikilinks since navigation is very easy.
