Titled (in translation), “Free is Good: Sharp Note Program – Notenik”.
You know “sharp note program” is a pleasing way to describe the software.
Software like Emacs is “malleable”.
But I feel like Notenik is multifaceted.
“Opinionated” [1] but accommodating. Everyone’s favorite uncle. And everyone’s favorite uncle sometimes, is someone else’s dad [2].
Multifaceted. Not a ball of clay. A Hoberman sphere.
Hundreds of scissor-like connectors expand and contract the globe all day.
Ball-shaped. Only from afar.
This is where my understanding of geometry and technology stops. Excuse me.
Moving on, “sharp” sounds good and fits in nicely with the PICK acronym.
You ever have an itch you just can’t scratch in your mind and feel like giving it one a these? [3].
Me too.
Or rather, grounded in some form of overarching principles and axioms that afford the work with a foundation, a heritage, a lineage to seek concordance with. Guidelines that we never appreciate until we’re so far gone down the channel of a mistake forewarned. ↩︎
