I’ve got a new beta available for testing.
This beta version is no longer available. Look for a later beta release or the most recent Mac App Store release.
This includes several changes.
-
I’ve modified the shortcut keys for index navigation. I ended up replacing the current ones with Control Left Bracket and Control Right Bracket. These seem to work for me, and I couldn’t find any other uses for these documented. Let me know if these turn out to be a problem. This change is in response to this recent feature request.

I’ve added an option for Notenik to write lines with field labels, even when a field for a particular note contains no data. This behavior can be requested by placing a
@
character in the collection template file, just after the field label and the following colon, and just before the start of the field type. This seemed to be working for me, but I’ll be interested in feedback from others. This is in response to this recent feature request. -
I’ve started work on allowing multiple values in the Seq field, separated by semicolons. At this point I believe collections with single values should work as before, and collections with multiple seq values should at least see some “alias” entries appear on the List tab and the Outline tab. However, this work is definitely not completed. But I thought it might be worthwhile to provide a little teaser for this new feature, even though it’s incomplete. In particular, let me know if anything seems broken with existing collections that use the Seq field, and are still only using single values. These changes are in response to this feature request.
Thanks to all for any beta testing of these changes that you might be able to accomplish!
