Separate folder for mirrored notes

For a more streamlined note hierarchy, would it be possible to keep the mirrored notes (.html) in a separate folder within the collection folder? This would provide a cleaner folder view, improving workability with other text editors. Some markdown text editors recognize .html and .css files in addition to .md, which causes a bit of inconvenience. Ideally, I’d like all special Notenik files (e.g., alias.txt, display.css, template.md, temp_display.html, and mirrored notes) to be stored in a separate folder. I’m not sure if this is easy to implement or if it would break something though.

Let me give this a good think. I certainly appreciate the suggestion. I wonder if this strikes a chord with others as well?

I don’t use the mirrored notes yet, but separating the special Notenik files somehow definitely appeals.

Whether by a sub folder or even better separation in the collection folder, I’m not sure yet.

I like that - INFO.nnk is a both a unique file type / extension and a distinct naming scheme of hypen / space / uppercase so when files are sorted by name or kind, they are distinct from the notes.

At the moment, I’m thinking about the treatment of the mirrored files as a separate issue.

For the “special” Notenik files, I’m thinking about providing the ability to stash them in a separate subfolder, perhaps named “- notenik_files”.

Any thoughts about this?

Yes, this would be very useful.
